I’ve just received news from Lama Jinpa, who is currently in Bhutan, that Tsewong Rinpoche has fallen quite ill. Rinpoche will not be travelling to Calgary. Green Tara practice has been requested.

Lama Jinpa is still planning to come to Calgary in mid-June. I will share details of his visit as they become available.

Tsewong Rinpoche is Coming to Calgary

This June, Tsewong Rinpoche, Lama Jinpa and Lama Pema will be coming to Calgary from June 13 to June 24. There will be a Chod empowerment, Dream Yoga teachings, a Red Vajrasattva empowerment and various transmissions and teachings. Last June we made a day trip to Banff, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake where Rinpoche led a Kusali Tsok overlooking the lake.

The Tibetan community in Calgary is holding their annual Spring bazaar again!

Date: Saturday, April 13th
Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Admission: $2 (children under 12 FREE)

We’re willing to undergo many, many hardships in pursuit of mundane and wordly goals that rarely benefit ourselves or others in any meaningful way; but won’t give up an hour of the day for the study of Dharma and the practice of meditation. Don’t you think we have our priorities mixed up?

Summer Visit

Tsewong Rinpoche, accompanied by Lamas Jinpa and Pema, will be returning to Calgary in late Spring or early Summer of this year. The exact dates and program have not yet been released.
